My second gold hatched female, and I don't really need two (and I was able to breed a gold egg, finally) - would anyone like to adopt the female hatchling? |

I'm not dead.
Um, hello. No, the world isn't coming to an end, and you don't have to look out your window for flying swine. I'm actually making a post. Sort of - I wrote most of this on Saturday on a train. So without further ado... ( Saturday ) Current Mood: shockedCurrent Music: Led Zepplin - Nobody's Fault but Mine |

Yoinked from tigerphoenix Outcast Genius 86 % Nerd, 60% Geek, 69% Dork | For The Record: A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia. A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one. A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions. You scored better than half in all three, earning you the title of: Outcast Genius. Outcast geniuses usually are bright enough to understand what society wants of them, and they just don't care! They are highly intelligent and passionate about the things they know are *truly* important in the world. Typically, this does not include sports, cars or make-up, but it can on occassion (and if it does then they know more than all of their friends combined in that subject). Outcast geniuses can be very lonely, due to their being outcast from most normal groups and too smart for the room among many other types of dorks and geeks, but they can also be the types to eventually rule the world, ala Bill Gates, the prototypical Outcast Genius. Congratulations! | | | My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender: | You scored higher than 97% on nerdiness | | You scored higher than 86% on geekosity | | You scored higher than 98% on dork points |

Next Sunday the 21st, Jen and I are getting baptized at my mom's house. We're doing it at their place because our church is small and doesn't have any place to do it, and they have a pool. We're goning to have sandwiches and dessert and you can bring a swimsuit if you want to go swimming. It's gonna start at 12 and the baptism part will probably be about 1/2 an hour. My father-in-law's family are coming and my mother-in-law's family (possibly cheryl and assorted cousins) are also coming. Everyone is invited and you can bring people if you'd like. You don't have to get "dressed up" but nice clothes would be good. |

Two things that made me laugh today...
The first is a comment from Jen: "We'll jump off that bridge when we come to it." The second I heard on the radio, and copied it from here to share: A Politically Correct Holiday Wish Please accept*, with no obligation, implied or implicit, our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral, celebration of the solstice holiday, practised within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. And a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2005, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great, (not to imply that our country is necessarily greater than any other country) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform, or sexual preference of the wishee. Yours truly, in political correctness, *By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for herself/himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first. Warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher. Current Mood: HurtCurrent Music: Hum of my Computer |

ResumeIf anyone who still reads this is so inclined and wouldn't mind, could you take a look at my resume and critique it? Also, does anyone have any suggestions as to places I should look for work? I'm at my wits end trying to figure it out. Thanks. Current Mood: depressedCurrent Music: Janis Joplin - Dusty Springfield |

I hate cars. I really fucking hate cars. I wish it were in some way viable to buy a horse instead. At least then I can shoot the damn thing when it breaks and eat it. (Note: More coherent response to come later) |
